Delegate FAQs

For Paper presentations, what do I need to know?

For a Paper, you are given a 20-minute presentation slot. 3,000 words is typically about 20 minutes long. We do our best to make sure everyone stays within 20 minutes so we can have ample time for questions for all panelists. Someone in the room will provide a 5 minute and 1 minute notice.

PowerPoint (.pptx) files are requested and must be submitted by 5pm on June 4th, to allow for onsite testing.

What is a “Conference Biography”?

A conference biography is 100 word descriptor that will be included in the Conference Programme that tells us a little bit about you. An example of how to start could be: “My Name” is a second year PhD student at the University of Birmingham researching “my topic”. Their current interests include “this”. In their free time you can find “My Name” doing “these fun things”.

When is the registration deadline?

Registration for delegates closes on Thursday 21 May at 5pm.

This deadline ensures that we are able to finalise the conference programme, confirm details, and make all necessary arrangements.

If you are experiencing extenuating circumstances which may affect your ability to register by this date (for example, financial timing constraints), please do get in touch. We will do our best to accommodate where possible.
