The Lizz Ketterer Trust

The Lizz Ketterer Trust was founded in memory of Dr Elizabeth Ann Ketterer (1979-2011), who tragically passed away in early 2011 as a result of complications derived from a diabetic seizure.

After her untimely death, a group of friends, united in grief, decided to honour Lizz’s life by promoting that which she loved most: the performance and study of William Shakespeare’s plays.

Bursaries

BritGrad enjoys a close relationship with the Lizz Ketterer Trust, meaning that in past years we have offered four competitive travel bursaries for students selected to present papers at the conference. These awards would not be possible without the support of the Lizz Ketterer Trust, whose board have graciously agreed to read the applications and select bursary recipients.

A total of four awards have been available in previous years:

  • 2 x bursaries of £50 for students within the UK

  • 1 x bursary of £100 for a student travelling from the EU

  • 1 x bursary of £200 for a student travelling from outside of the EU

Applications will be made available as conference details are confirmed.

To apply you must:

  • Be a full-time or part-time postgraduate student

  • Be presenting a paper at the BritGrad 2021 conference

  • Be attending the full duration of the conference

  • Have submitted a completed Registration Form

  • Send a completed Travel Bursary Application form and a copy of the 200-word abstract of the proposed paper to the BritGrad Committee before the proposed deadline (TBA).
